This weekend will host the 2010/11 season FA cup quarter finals. There are many intriguing games, but the highlight game has got to be at Old Trafford where England's top two teams, Manchester United and Arsenal battle for a place in the FA cup semi-final.
Carlos Tevez (left) will be looking to fire Manchester City into one of the two FA cup semi-finals at Wembley.
My predictions:
Birmingham city vs Bolton Wanderers
A tremendous league cup final triumph against Arsenal was fantastic for the blues but their league form has put all the hysteria around St Andrews on hold. Bolton have had an impressive season under Owen Coyle and Europa League football may be a little more than a dream now for trotters' fans. A win here would surely only confirm a wonderful season for a side that were nearly relegated last season.
My prediction:
Birmingham 1-1 Bolton
Manchester Utd vs Arsenal
The Epl's two main title contenders have both had dissapointing results lately with Utd losing their last two and Arsenal being dumped out of the UCL by Barcelona. Utd have Ferdinand, Park, Nani and Valencia out and may rest some players in order to have a fully fit squad for their UCL match against Marseille in mid-week. Arsenal have Song and Fabregas injured but, Arsene Wenger has admitted this game is huge.
My prediction:
Manchester Utd 1-1 Arsenal
Stoke vs West Ham
West Ham and their attackers have been on fire lately and a victory here could mean a second semi-final this season. Stoke meanwhile have been at their physical best in the FA cup so far and their fans would love to make their first FA cup semi-final since 1972.
My prediction:
Stoke 2-1 West Ham
Manchester City vs Reading
Despite becoming one of the richest clubs in the world in August 2008, Manchester City have'nt won a trophy since 1976 (a fact Manchester Utd fans' are more than happy to point out) and Roberto Mancini's side are attempting to break that un-favorable record this season. On paper they're the most likely team to progress to the semi-final out of all the remaining teams in the cup but anything can happen in the cup as the saying goes, and after all Reading did beat Liverpool last year.
My prediction:
Man. City 3-1 Reading
